Thomas the Tank Engine, His Friends and the High Speed Train

Caving, Garden Railways & more caving. Fan of TTTE
The fat controller feels that steam engines are too dirty and the passengers would appreciate a modern, clean and fast replacement, but things don't work out as he had hoped.

That's wonderful, Keith - have a "like" on me.... ;)

I've just forwarded the link to a couple of friends who have a Thomas-mad two-year-old, he'll love it!

Jon.

Absolutely brilliant! What's really impressive is how you got the angles and the sizing just right for the green-screen shots. Did you film the Thomas sequences first and then work out the angles etc needed for the people shots? The story-telling and camera work is simply jaw-dropping. When are you contacting Ringo for the next voice-over?

Rik

Magnificent! And the incorporation of the humans is amazing. And the story itself is a tract for the times.

Edit: I've also forwarded a link to friends with a one year old and a four year old.

Fantastic!

Hi Rik. Yes, the Thomas garden railway stuff was filmed first. For the people it's only a case of getting the angle approximately right. The scaling and cropping was all done in Final Cut Pro X, and it's quite easy and relatively quick to do - although I am learning as I go along.

Keith, that was great, really enjoyed it.

A like from me too and I will show it to SWMBO as well [e]89[/e]

Thanks again everyone for the great comments. I just need Bachmann to bring out another loco now - perhaps Henry and some coaches for an express train. Perhaps Steve could commission some kits?

Great little film. Lessons in there somewhere? ??? ::) :-\

That was great fun, so clever with the living people. You really do a great job with these :) ;D

And I'll give you my first Like [e]339[/e]

Well Keith , that was a delight! and all of the above comments about your brilliance are confirmed.

Your garden is beautiful too (love the viaduct shot with the purple and green in the background.

And, I watched your caving promo too. Did that long ago here in Colorado, where caves are mostly bone dry. Don't think I like the idea of going for a short 'dive' to clear an overhead, but , it was exciting to watch.

I made this video 2 years ago and uploaded it to YouTube. It's been watched 7,364,162 times and is currently being viewed 11,500 views per day. Must get round to making another garden raikway video soon.
