Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Some windows and doors were kindly donated by Bredebahn and Gizzy.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Plenty of exterior PVA glue and a few pins.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Glued on some old wooden blind slats (that Bredebahn gave me) to represent raised brickwork.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Reinforced the corners

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

and ran some trains
Thats how far I got today. Next is a thick coat of polyurethene varnish to seal it all and some textured finish.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Covered the building in PVA and added ceiling texture material (like premix Artex). It say 'moisture proof' on the pot that I have left over - for kitchen use.
Looks OK for a rendered cement finish. Time will tell

Painted the Artex on the new engine shed today with Damp paint (for kitchens and bathrooms).Another left-over tin in the garage!
A bit bright - needs weathering down but a good thick paint seal.
