and I picked up this little item on e-bay recently. Its got a bicycle trip computer on it. A magnet has been glued to the back of a wheel and each time it goes round it sends a pulse to the counter. Gives distance and speed but obviously is incrrect as its calibrated for a bicycle wheel which of course is a lot larger. Need to sit and work it out - there may be an easy conversion factor. The instructions for the trip meter are with it, so it justs need me to sit down and work it all out!

I had a free afternoon today so I started on the engine shed.
Cut the walls from 9mm exterior ply with an electric jigsaw.
