The Ochsenwaldbahn Line - from the begining again.

I like the retaining wall made of half-rounds. Do you buy them on a roll?

Probably - thats not my railway - Kentkeith is demonstrating his track base build method as we were discussing it the other day. That is his EG&SNNR.

Peter, just be a bit cautious of the cheapie half round log rolls you'll find on sale in NZ. Well maybe the present ones are better treated but the older ones I've seen used never seem to have the life span I'd expect.

I agree with that John. ::)

Lamentably, it seems almost impossible to get decently seasoned / preserved timber products in the UK these days.. Even supposedly 'real' railway sleepers fail in short-order.

Log-roll edgings are a joke!
:( :( :(

Running today. A bright but cold Sunday afternoon.

Good to see that the running season is (practically) upon us. Looking forward to more pics. :D

I built the loco yard about 6 or 7 years ago. Plywood topped with roofing felt. The ply is saturated and its given up.

A big garden tidy up this Easter weekend. Trains running to keep me company.
I started the extension back in 2010 but it needed a darn good clean out. - Thats the trouble with deep cuttings.

:o

new loco allan.. very tastey

Pretty little thing, isn't it Alan? Looks very good with that rake of old-time 4-wheelers. :) Did you get an XLS-M1 decoder for it at the same time?

Still a bit pricey for something Stainz-sized I guess, but I'm happy with mine. Apparently the DR black version is due very soon too, wondering if I can justify one of them too...? ;)

Where did you buy from, Modell-Land?

Jon.

Yes Modell-land. and they fitted the XLS M1 sound decoder which is excellent.
