you lucky man you,... well done allan 8)

I replaced some of the wheels in this old girl today. the chrome was long gone on some of them due to heavy use over the years. It was the first bit of G Scale I purchased. I couldn`t get all the wheel sets but the ones I have replaced have made a huge difference to its running.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Does anyone have the little orange loco with a power buffer in?
OR,
Can comment on their effect on the loco?

We have one at Chasewater, which behaves a little strangely..
On digital, you stop the loco. - No problem.
BUT,
When you turn the power off, the loco moves off (presumably the buffer discharging) backwards. Travels a good 6-8 feet! - You need to allow for this when you park-up. ::) :(

Not sure who fitted the buffer, or if it is correctly fitted / working as it should?? Comments please..
PhilP.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

Interesting problem Phil. Not heard of that one before. Mine is digital but no buffer and i am very impressed with the electrical pick up. Must be the best four wheeler I have. the wheelbase is a little longer than the usual stainz type.

Turn analog running off in the decoder.

Re: The Oxney Island Line - from the begining again.

That would be worth a try Peter.
