The Ochsenwaldbahn II, it all starts again.

The garden needs a major over haul. The front hedge conifers have got out of control and the various shrubs are riddled with blackberry brambles - nice to eat, a pain when your mowing the lawn.

So, a decision - more grass, less borders, new mower, more railway, and sort out that hedge.

The lumberjack came last Sunday.

That phone line just above the chimneys was inside the hedge!

As mike has reported elsewhere, I started to get some track at the National Garden Rail show. A good start but I'll need some more.
My daughter found a nearly new sit on mower via Farcebook. A year old and half price.
Booking a digger for a few days to make light work of the gardening in a few weeks time. I intend to scrape the garden bare and then mug any bramble shoots with spray.
A pallet load of celcon blocks and a big bag of sharp sand has now been delivered. This will form the base of the new line..
The only part of the original line remaining will be the station area near to the house.

The reports of a shortage of used 45mm track are true..i whitnessed stockers buying it all up at the 16mm shindig!!

Ah, but are you sure Stocker's hasn't brought 32 mm gauge track by mistake....

Looks like you need a really good Bonfire to get rid of all the Carp. Had a great one last year at a friends with a similar pile to yours. Kept it going for 3 days even after overnight rain the embers were so hot. Good for cooking spuds as well. Have to say though it was in a very large field well away from any buildings.

Do they still call em lumberjacks? Tree surgeons these days aren't they, or is that like a posh lumberjack?

Can't wait to see the track going down bud.

Three massive bonfires and its still not all gone. But a bit of drizzle today drove me indoors.
Seeing as how the garden line will be a bit restricted, its time to get the Shedbahn running.

I dug out the old MTS3 gear and completed laying the circuit including the inevitable flap in the door way

Will be following along this thread Alan - looking forward to progress.

Any chance of a spiral or two on the new line ? ;)

Not too steep, about 1 in 30. Pfiffi can push that load back and the Harz 2-10-2 managed 8 coaches.

Possibly Paul. It depends on the usual things. Whether I need one, cost of yet more track and of course - time.

Personally I can't wait to see the line going over that trampoline outside, can Massoth do a chuff-boing sound?

Looking forward to seeing the lines growth
