Whilst doing some maintenance yesterday on the mainline in the foreground, it struck me that the siding at Petticoat Junction could indeed be extended (I had a few pieces of 'spare' track). So the line got longer, and the requisite work train duly turned up to dump some material alongside so that wagons can be worked from the end of Shady Lane.
Just a wee technical note on the photo. It came out extremely contrasty, nothing to be seen in the shadows. My 'pooter has a programme that allows me to 'adjust' photos (don't ask me which one, don't know, don't care, it works). So, using the shadow option, I managed to lighten up the shady area. 8)
