Second hand track could cost you £3-4 per foot, so I reckon it's worth £90-120?

Much more than the scrap value I would have thought....

No, no, he definitely said scrap value, so I reckon about tuppence. In old money. Of course the 'travelling people' (gippos in old parlance) would lighten you of it free.:impatient:

Yes I omitted to state that its all in 2 inch long lengths.

they would be O.K as wagon loads?? (unless you want to use them;) )

How does the song go? 'Like the clickety clack / of the train on the track / it's got rhythm to spare'. In this case the rhythm is samba or speed metal :rolf:

That'll put the price up further then, as you've now got to factor in all those extra fishplates at 50 pence each....

You save them all till the next set of alterations to your line. Will save you making lots more 2 inch sections out of nice yard (or should I say meter these days?) lengths. Of course if there are really too many, you could offer some via the forum so that a few other people have some useful short sections to save cutting yard.......... you get the picture.

Oh by the way I do have quite a few of my own short bits so I have no ulterior motive here. Any how I use mostly Peco with some LGB.

Have you got any lengths of Peco spare - about 15" long?

Hm an opportunist. Sorry Doug, I am planning a move in the next year or two. So my odd lengths are being saved for the newer, bigger and hopefully better version of the Dunny Reichesbahn. In fact I have been stockpiling odd bits of Peco as it comes up for a fair price. I dithered over a large amount a few months back in either this or the Mad Forum. I am kicking myself now, but at the time storage may have been an issue. Now I just don't care.

Apparently your rail is worth more today than last week. Chile is the worlds leading producer of copper and copper prices are going up again after the earthquake. :(

Go on ebay when the numbskulls are on and its probably worth more than when it was new!
