Anyone ever combined a Otto cab with a Stainz Chassis and Boiler, Just been having thoughts as have several scrap stainzs and a spare otto cab

Never tried it, but sounds like an excellent idea to me - a way of getting a rather different-looking loco with (relatively) minimal work.
Could you just dummy it up from the bits you have, and see how it looks?

Jon.

havent actually done this, ie with otto

but i have tried to swap cabs onto a stainz and played with the porter cab
-they (the boiler widths) are close but not a drop on fit

think razor saw will be coming out tomorrow

Could be an intresting one to see get some pics up when you do it .

Jim any luck posting them smokers matey? still cant pm:@

have started the bash, will post a pic later,
what i've done is grafted the front bunkers from the stainz cab to a cut down otto cab and trimmed the rear of the otto cab to fit the stainz chassis,
