Thank you :) Yeah I do try and keep the locos looking nice and the stock also :)

I returned to model railways two years ago, having last had any interest in the area in my early teens when I had a Hornby OO prairie tank and a selection of rolling stock and station buildings on a 6' by 4' layout with a climb to a raised station area. I remember (and it wasn't just me) I always tried to keep loco and other items spick and span and as much like new as possible. So it was quite a surprise to me when looking at modern model railway magazines and internet forums to see that weathering was now the in-thing, even to manufacturers offering weathered and unweathered versions of locos etc. and I've thought a number of times, do people who buy the weathered versions keep them in pristine weathered condition?

I do like the look of a grubby loco, my pair of Dash9s has the second unit less dirty than the leading one, but its all a matter of taste.....and maybe not a good idea if you are planning to sell them on after a few years as it may hit the value.

Apologies for slight 'Thread Drift' George

Lovely photos and nice to see some sun. Norfolk was my preferred retirement place, but we couldn't find what we wanted and my wife preferred staying in Yorkshire where her family and our friends are, so it's always nice to see sunny Norfolk (and, as far as that goes, snowy and even wet Norfolk!).

I think this one is my favourite:

Some lovely pictures, and the railway just looks stunning!
I like the shot with the LandRover in, looks like a typical photo you might take whilst pulled over at the roadside!
