Sound going in loop.

Hi Greg , I dont have a CV chart available and Im not sure of the Decoder model. Ive attached a picture looking into the Loco showing the boards
inside . I cant see any manufacurers names anywhere or model numbers .

Is there a circular gold sticker on the bottom of the loco? - Should have a six-digit number on it..
What is that number please? - This will give us the approximate manufacturing date.

I think the sound card may need serial commands, due to its' age..

I have just had this with a loco I added a decoder to. If the CS is set for parallel for this loco, then you can only control things by pressing the F1 button repeatedly. - And that is not very reliable!
If the CS is set for serial, then sounds work as they should.

Unfortunately, I am unable to tell you how to set the MTS system to send serial commands.

Using LGB MTS equipment, isn't it just a case of pressing F and 9 on the MTS handset?

Before doing so, press 3. if the display flashes once. it's in parallel mode. If it flashes three times, it's in serial mode.

Repeat that after pressing F and 9 to check it's in the mode you want.

Trying (unsuccessfully) to remember from when I had an MTS2 - do you press F AND 9 simultaneously, or press (and release) F THEN press 9?

I think I mentioned this before - its a factory fitted LGB Large On Board decoder (made by Massoth) and a Sound module (also made by Massoth).

It may be worth while sending an email to hotline@massoth.de
