Scratch Build of Snow Plough for KLM Railway

Hi All

After the snow 2 years ago a quick snow plough was quickly constructed for the KLM line.
This year think I can do a bit better so here goes for what its worth also if I finish this it will allmost certanly prevent us haveing any snow here :)

1. Hartland Wagon for the base.

2. Offcut of wood from workshop looks about right to me.

3. Quick visit to the chop saw.

5. Chop the waste out

12. Just realised better make this a bit wider after measuring width of coaches.
So side panels required.

14. Not happy with the top deflector thingy will make one out of 1 pice of wood me thinks :D

15. Sanded and some filler to help make smooth.

Might get some more done later on tonight when filler is dry catch you all later.

Good idea, I would imagine it's got plenty of weight behind to being solid wood?

This is my effort on a Hartland chassis, turned out quite effective.

An excellent idea,simple and straight forward, by the look of the forecast I've just seen on the Beeb you may be able to test if on friday morning!
 
Hi Garry

You stroke the BBC are correct have a light dusting of snow here this morning but the plough is still swaying paint so will try to put some on it later.

If not might have to cover it with some aluminium tape I have to protect it foe emergency testing of course will not be able to short the track might be mad but not stupid.:rolf:
