Scale drawing software

I'm planning on doing some drawings for buildings. Nothing elaborate, just what I used to do using graph paper, or large sheets of paper, rulers and a pencil! I like to do it on either my iMac or iPad. I know that iOS 11 will have some interesting abilities when it releases and I upgrade my iPad Air 2 to an iPad Pro and pencil, but that won't be until the fall/autumn.

What I'm looking for is some software or app (MacOS or iOS) that will enable me to make the drawings and convert 1:1 to 16mm/ft, and maybe output to a printer, although that's not essential.

Essential is that it's simple, as I have limited technical drawing expertise. I do use Adobe CC for photography but haven't ever used InDesign or any of those programs.

Any suggestions, and thanks in advance?

Most CAD progs are very complicated, but aren't too bad, with practice, for simple stuff. I use TurboCAD which I got cheap from Maplin some time ago.

You can only need to learn to draw three things in a CAD program, a Line, a circle and text, once you can draw those three things you can draw anything :) it's worked for me for the last 40 years..
