Run Away Loco

Hello
My LGB Track Cleaner has been converted to DCC using a Massoth Emotion Decoder. It works perfectly on my Massoth Navigator system - except- when you first put the loco on the track, it runs away at full speed forward regardless of what the Navigator was showing when it was last used. The Navigator shows full speed forward and needs adjusting to sort this out and it is well behaved after this. Is it a programming error? This does not happen with any of my other locos.!!!

Can you read the value of CV 29 and report back please?

Oh, and what address have you got it set to?

so what that tells you is that either the decoder is really an old design, or you have noise on your track, because the loco is thinking it got DC instead of DCC. I'd look for issues in wiring.

Is this the only loco that does this (assuming you have DC mode enabled in other decoders).

I have seen this in loco's with a power-buffer fitted.. Tends to be if analogue is enabled, and when the power is switched off, the loco takes off like a scalded cat! How far it runs, depends on the capacity of the buffer!! ;):rolleyes:
