Rivets......

I've used Cambrian plastic rivets and dressmaker's pins.

If there's a lot - use the Cambrian ones, otherwise you can end up with a ton(ne) weight of dressmaker's pins :laugh:

I've not tried the Cambrian ones on anything other than styrene sheet - not sure how easy I'd find it to fix 'em with superglue

Anywhere else sell brass rivets (like the ones in the white metal IP kits) other than GRS.

11 quid for 200 seems a bit pricey.

Might look at dress making pins but the ones in the missus sewing box look a bit small.

Hi all,

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I was looking at ordering a set of rivets from Cambrian Models. Has anybody on here ordered by post with them? Do you get any sort of aknowledgment when your order has been placed?

Many thanks,
Ricky

Cambrian did say on their website that they don't hold stock of everything, but will endeavour to fill orders within 28 days. I ordered some axle guards last year and they took about three weeks. They generally don't acknowledge orders but the stuff always turns up.

Delivery is very slow and communication scant, but the stuff does turn up. I like there goods but try to buy from a third party, rather than direct. Peter Binnie does some good axle boxes and wheels and delivers within days..no rivets though.
