Removing Lgb wagon platforms

So I’ve acquired 2 identical vans and set to work.

my plan was make sure it was easily recognisable as lgb, and if possible to do no repainting and keep the factory paint

after a bit of cutting I’ve got to this stage.

The next stage, is more cutting/ filing to get the bodies to sit on the chassis nicely and wait for some plasticard angle to arrive, as I want to have working sliding doors.

Did a bit more work last night, one van is partially complete, but need to decide what to do with it,

As it’s currently an incomplete van body with no doors, so not the most usefull of vehicles.
If any one has any suggestions feel free to post them

I think a double platform van with vertically planked doors over the centre two sections and the Gap. Detail for it to slide one way, Henri’s conversion should give you some inspiration about the slide bits for the doors. Oh and yes some detail to cut off so that can occur.

Whilst I decide what to do with the double ender, I ran a train to see how they looked out in the open,

and they look better out in the open, compared to sat on the work bench,

Done some more work, and the van is ready for the paint shop.
However this will have to wait as in need to visit an actual model shop to try and find a good colour match.

I went for non opting doors in the end, as I never use them and to make it easier. But I model the door runners using 4mm angle plasticard

here’s a picture of my modified van rake that I ran happily in the sun today

What you trying to find a colour match for? The yellow or the brown.
