7/8ths and 1/12th modeling in Railways and Birdwat

Hi all,
Just thought I'd add a few photo's of my scratchbuilt small display base for the odd loco'. Ok this one is in 7/8ths or 1/12th but the same principle applies to G as well. It just makes a loco or piece of stock look better when in the living room etc
Its basically a bit of hand laid code 250 NS rail spiked to wooden sleepers to 45mm gauge and ballasted then with ground work and grass added. It needs more and better vegetation adding as time goes by now. Plus a bit of old rail used as fencing at the front. I need to balance it up with something at the back, probably a bush but in 7/8ths its not a matter of adding a bit of lichen etc you can see individual leaves etc... I need to think on that one!
I can get away with leaving loco's on the sideboard now
