Railways G Scale or 1/1 near Zolder. Belgium

In mid July I will be visiting the race track at Zolder to cheer on my grandson (7) who is in the UCI BMX World Championships.
The racing will take up just a part of the time and I wondered if anyone can recommend any rail related venues I could visit please?

Liège is some 1 hour away.

The transport museum contains a large collection of Belgium horse carts - buses - trolleybusses and trams.
Large with 3400 M2 of exhibitions. You get free audioguides with your ticket.
Plan 60-90 minutes for the visit. Drinks available.
Open 7 days a week during the peak season

Gizzy I wonder how far Grottes de Hann (not very far from Jemelle) would be, well worth the trip to see the Diesel Autorails and their open cross bench trailers.
