Hello everyone. This is my first post since joining. Attached are my current 2 models I am working on. They are display models as I am in no position to power them. They are both in 1:24 scale. The emu is built to scale as I have prototype drawings. A second, a stadler afrodual, has no technnical information available apart from the fact it's 4140mm tall. A big thank you to Malcolm Wilton Jones for pictures of the loco on his facebook account. They were really helpful as I managed to workout the length and width based on the UK dual. I don't think this loco will ever run on the network so if anyone has technical Info on the loco, kindly let me know.

The models are made from 1mm ABS sheet sandwiched using acetone to a thickness of 3mm. In due course, I'll be posting detailed steps of the build.

Wow!
Welcome to the Forum..
Those look impressive models, even though I don't know the prototypes.

Welcome to the forum, please be most interested in your build description particularly how you make the tricky curved shaped ends. As for track power have you thought about USA power bogies, they come in a few sizes and I reckon would be perfect for your needs. The loco is pretty well a class 68 from my view, some tech details here just google “pictures of UK class 68” to get many of the liveries and locomotives in service.
