I am modeling GB Welch style, and am wondering what the thickness/ depth of station platforms would be

In many of the stations on the FR it was about rail height though I note a recent rebuild of Penrhyn Station has gone a bit higher. Cant comment on the current height.

I was going to say about rail height, but the WHR looks to be a few inches above :mm:

If they rebuild any platforms there these days, I would expect them to be higher than the original, to allow for wheelchairs etc

Indeed so but of course the WHR is a relatively new construction so the platforms would be more defined and highr. Just I guess is what is the question that Gramps is asking? Era can have a very important outcome in terms of an answer. Below this picture of Bryngwyn Station on the WHR shows that there was no platform as such just a level bit of hardcore/earth level with the sleepers and rails in this case.
