Plastic gears for LGB feldbahn diesel

I'm posting this for an elderly friend who is not a computer/internet user. He has a little LGB feldbahn diesel (the green one with the open cab) that runs on an automatic shuttle line. Years of use has worn out the plastic gears. Can anyone point us in the direction of a replacement gear set please?

I know that such spares are often more readily available from Europe, but I'm not sure that he will be willing or able to get involved with cross-border transactions, so if there was a source in the UK, that would be ideal.

Thanks.

i just used the link-great but what a huge assortment of truly odd bits

i don tknow that they wear out faster, per se, but i do recall the LGBOA tech teling me do on overload the engine-
the little diesels are so heavy compared to the steam engines that i imagine they are easily overloaded, and it the shuttle was an abroupt stop and start, then that too might really add to wear

to answer your question about parts-you might also try 'train li' in the USA, or maybe some sites in the US-they are somehwat hard to find -but do come up-the steam engines are becoming obsenely expensive here on e bay at least

and -i might add that i know first hand that parts for these are almost impossible to find-
LGBOA, at least five years ago, barely had parts -i was told i got the last of a few-
i fear that whle the gears may be replaced-then may come the motor and drive belt as well-and if its had heavy use-the chassis where the axels hits may also be worn-not trying to be doom and gloom-but if finances permit-he may wish to keep an eye out for a new replacement little loco
