I'm quietly building up a bit of LGB rolling stock to run along with my Playmobil stock, notably three of the 30500 compartment coaches. There's been a spate of these on eBay recently, although I missed out on two which went for £56 the pair!
One of the coaches was lacking the luggage racks because the owner had fitted lighting and taken he luggage racks out, presumably because he felt they would obstruct the light, although experiments with the luggage racks from another of the coaches show that there is little or no difference. These I know can be obtained from modell-land.de, so there isn't really a problem. But another of the coaches has also been fitted with lighting and this time the owner routed the wiring to the pick-up wheels via a large hole drilled in a seat in each of the rend compartments and the floor, so I am also looking for replacements for these, which modell-land.de don't list. So does anyone know of another possible source, or even have a 30500 coach suitable for cannabilising?
