They recommend washing animal hair type brushes ( viz Squirrel, Sable and mongoose) with hair conditioner from time to time believe it or not!

I'd believe that. I've always found that washing-up liquid worked fine, even for oil paint - just put a drop or two into the palm of your hand and work the brush gently in it, then rinse and tease the brush back into shape, if necessary. If needing to dry, roll the brush on some kitchen paper-towel.

Ohhh the girl with the Icecream reminds me of someone I "knew" back in the 60's....

I'm waiting to see someone's efforts with a Lone Piper or a Pipe Band so I can nit pick the tartan.
The workperson ship in these examples is outstanding.......

Today I went into the local wargames shop with considerable trepidation, flaming dragons and persons in weird attire do not inspire confidence... However once inside I was immedaitly put at ease by the guy in charge who asked if he could help. He gave me a good rundown on the fleshy side of things sold me a base coat and an overwash. Told me to bring my work back and they would critique it and if I was not up to standard would let me sit in on a "masterclass". They seemed most intrigued as to why anyone would want to build a tramway in the back yard.... Not nearly as intrigued as I was as to why someone would dress up as a fire breathing dragon and play boardgames.....

well yes trev, WHY DOES someone want to build a tramway in an otherwise perfectly good backyard...

LOL

Tip 2. Green Swarfega is also a good brush cleaner for oil based paints, especially if you've let a brush dry out a bit (not totally).

Tip 3. To dry the bush after thorough cleaning, roll the handle vigorously between your palms. the bristles will fly outwards and 'spin dry' (old signwriter's trick, less likely to damage the bristles. Not sure what young signwriters do! :rolf::rolf: ) then reshape the brush by stroking from the ferrule with a little grease or Vaseline to help it hold its shape in storage. Rinse in thinner before re-use, to remove the grease.

WARNING - NOT SAFE FOR WORK, FOR UNDER-18s, OR FOR THOSE OF NERVOUS DISPOSITIONS AND/OR WITH ANGRY SPOUSES.... you have been warned!! ;)

Ah, Glasshopper, my Google-Fu is strong today....
For those of you interested in such naughty things, with a bit of searching I have tracked down where the old Phoenix Phollies range ended up after they were sold off on Phoenix's closure - they are now being produced by a French model soldier manufacturer, here:

http://www.metal-modeles.com/page_F...&id_categorie_principale=60&recherche=ok.html < Link To http://www.metal-modeles....&recherche=ok.html

They seem to have pretty much the whole range of the 80-90mm Phollies and others, including the "schoolgirl" with the icecream and the French Maid already "featured" in this thread.
They're flippin' expensive, but at least they are still available!

Oddest looking frogs I've seen for a while.:laugh:
