Cheers Mike. It was the smoke unit that impressed me most (mind you, I'm easily pleased:rofl:).

Just had to try out my latest loco - Bachmann Annie (South Pacific Coast) - last of the locos that 55.5 was selling from Bill's Railway. Its had a few knocks and scrapes but a little glue here and there, and a new step(made from a bit of scrap) for the front pilot makes the loco complete. I swapped the loop coupling on the tender just to hitch up a short rake of coaches.

Loco performs brilliantly - very quiet and smooth - the sound and smoke also work so I'm well pleased with this bargain! Just need a bulb for the front headlight that's all.

A couple of pic just before this afternoon's rain bounced down ....

Been testing the "Paycar's" capabilities and found it lacking on gradients with three cars. One - no problem, Two cars - a bit of slip but managed it. Anyway a few pics taken before lunch...

The 'paycar' does have a definite character of its own Mick. A good loco from to your growing roster.

With the near completion of my first two "lift out" bridges, and a dry afternoon, I thought I'd make a start on my track alterations.

I have lifted the approach track to the high level section and my only siding and headshunt. I've left the main line because this will have to be cut for new pointwork and crossing. Started all this and the weather is going to turn! C'est la vie!

Mick ive followed your thread with intrest and looking at your last picture just had the thought wouldnt it be cool to have fixed your very fine bridges to your garage doors then they would open when the doors opened....... i know it may not have worked for you but might be an answer for someone else in the same situation........ carry on the great work

Hi Tony - don't think it would work (for me at least) because the doors need to fold back at least 45 degrees, then there's access to the right hand gate - behind the salvaged pallet - but it sounds like a brain scratcher! Thanks for your comments though:clap:
