Operations suspended on the KMRR

Are all the people who went up there for Christmas now trapped ? :nail:

Picked up another 3 inches of snow today. We have about a foot of snow total since x-mas

Hey Shawn...just get out there and plow it all :rolf:

John it depends. A normal year I wont see the grass until March. We are just getting into our coldest month of the year. Jan and Feb we will see most days below freezing. Thats why I like to try and keep up on shoveling the main line so I can run during the winter.

Looks blinking cold Shawn. Full marks for trying to run all year round. Respect.

Looks abit cold there Shawn :nail: no snow here just rain and yet more rain no chance to run any trains :wits:

Hi Shawn. Where are you in that area? I only ask because I used to go to our American head quarters at Mountain Top, near Wilkes Barre. Used to fly into New Jersey and take the 80 into the mountains.

Wow Shawn, that is a serious length of time under snow. Congratulations on making the effort to keep the main line clear

Alan Im about 50 minutes from Scranton (Steamtown section) When you go into PA from I80 I live about 45 minutes to the north. I usually take I84 into Scranton area. I know where where Mountain Top is. Its about 1hr 15 min from me. I live where NY, NJ and PA all meet. Next time you are in the area let me know.

All history now Shawn. They (my ex employer) closed the UK operation in 2001 and they themselves ran out of cash a year or two later. Flew into Scranton once, must have been about 1995 - was a bit of a dump then.
Never got to Steamtown.

Just think fellas, if our current rainfall turned to snow, Shawn'd be worried about us!!! :rolf:

Keep it up Shawn, you're about the only one keeping a lid on it for us over here, mate!

That's a point, how many people run there locos when it's pouring down?
And how many would run when it's snowing?

The snow wouldn't deter me, the rain would!

I enjoy the challenge of running in the snow, rain is Yuk however :'(

COULD THE MODS DELETE THIS POST PLEASE ! I THOUGHT I WAS EDITING IT BUT APPARENTLY I WASN'T

It's been rainy in the 40s to 50s here. Sunny southern California, yeah right.

Blimey! How did you even find the railway beneath all that?
Or were you keeping on top of it since it started laying?
