New Signal Box for the EM&BHR

After the track being laid into Palm Junction, it was decided that a new signal box was needed. I have plenty of wood, and wanted to have a go at weather board.The and wood that I was using is 15mm thick and needed cutting to make it !0mm X 15mm

So, out came the saw bench

Set the gap to 10mm this was going to be the thickness of the wood.

Once the strips were cut, I then set the saw to cut a small angle on the wood,

This the effect it gives.

Once I'd cut enough wood, I then cut the wood into lengths, then glued and nailed the wood together to make panels.

Four posts were cut (10mm X 10mm). The posts were glued and nailed to the ends of the panels to form the base of the signal box. Here the box is seen where it will eventually go.
