And weren't the gas tank thingies called gasometers? There used to be a couple on the drive in to S-o-T and as boys we were fascinated how they went up and down.

When you use other things to achieve what you want when building something for a layout - it's called modelling. The fact that I used embroidery hoops rather than a paint tin or cut circles out of ply is neither here nor there-so lets not get anally retentive about girlie things chaps..

I think Pugwash's is just having a laugh Ross. Don't think he really has a problem with your use of materials.
