Hi, new member (lurked for years without registering, sorry!) from south Dorset UK.

Typically into LGB - DR which I run in the loft; I also dabble in the dark side 5" and 7.25" which I run ...not in the loft.

Welcome along Kitkatkat and it's good to see you finally took the plunge and joined the forum. If you've been hovering in the background then you will certainly know of our sense of humour and it is perfectly normal. Seeing as you have already been bitten by the G bug you can teach us a few things. Now then multiple large railways? We need photographic proof.

You'd probably need quite a big loft

Welcome to the Forum! You will know more about 'proper' engineering than we do, so while your larger gauges are technically outside of our interest, I'm sure we'd like to see some pictures! And your loft line, too: many of us in the northern hemisphere are packing away stock, bridges and buildings just now, so a glimpse of winter activity will give us all a boost.
