Hello! I am an almost lifelong model railroader (got my first HO model railroad at 8 of 9 years) and had worked/played in almost any Scale (except TT). Years ago I had a Large Scale garden railroad (LGB) and now I started a small industrial US Large Scale switching layout in the sleeping room of my flat. I am a freelancer in culturel school projects and also partly retired. I am here to find interesting information about our hobby and discuss topics that I am interested in with other members.

I am from Neuss (on the opposit side of the Rhein from Düsseldorf). I think I don't habe any issues with humour so no problem here. Speaking of problems I am converting my engine and rolling stock to kadee couplers and used the kadee conversion list to find the right coupler for a USA Trains Alco S4 but the recommended #908 does not work. Correct is the 909 as on the rolling stock so if anyone needs a #908 I have one to donate.

Welcome. Germany's contribution to the G Scale model world is fantastic (and probably foundational). Most of my collection was either manufactured or designed in Germany. I often wish I could speak the language to be able to read all of the content and websites you guys have dedicated to the subject. Do you have a particular era or manufacturer as favorite?

i am here in this forum for about 15 years, but the different types of humour, one encounters here, still keep me brooding.
the easiest to understand i find the north american humor. they too rely much on "Schadenfreude".
sometimes hard to comprehend, but fine and pointed is the british humour.
what i nearly never get, is the humour from down-under. that seems somewhat upside-down to me.
but, you chose a fine crowd to join.
