The control interface via an IOS/Android Smartphone (without needing a router) is somewhat novel and an interesting development.

The lack of specifications at this time, particular in terms on energy ratings, is an issue, as the "box" doesn't look like would handle typical large scale operational needs gracefully.

Im not expert AT ALL in Dcc, but hasnt this been the case with DCC-EX (build you own/DIY) systems for a number of years using the Arduino board , I use it and dont need a router as it has its own wifi system that I conect my old phone to ? It only cost me £70 at the time.

Thats exactly what I did, you can also find retailers your side of the spinny world thing. This Indian one seams a tad dodgy to me. see this link. Chesterfield MM were excellent and provided a great bit of kit. I even uprated for the higher Amp board.
