More display problems?

Since the last update, there are now a couple (or three) of annoyances:

1. Occasionally, one of the served-adverts, will display as a narrow vertical display down the left-hand edge of the screen.. It appears all the information is there, just wrongly formatted/displayed. - This only seems to happen a couple of times a week, perhaps.
Annoying, but can just scroll past it..
2. In a long display of threads (Coffee Lounge, as an example) there will occasionally not be a defined boundary between the served-adverts, and the Forum-threads. - This is confusing.
Today, Casey's name and avatar, was cut-into the top-left corner of an advert, and his post flowed directly after the adverts with no line-break/border between the two.
3. If my PC is 'on' the Forum tends to be open in a tab in my browser..
If I switch back to the Forum, 9 out of 10 times, I get the window, but it is blank.. Leaving it, it does not refresh. - I have left it for several minutes, expecting the serving of a new advert, to refresh it.
I am not able to get a 'right-click' response (within the blank screen) and have to revert to either the circular refresh/reload arrow, or highlight the address-bar, and hit enter..

System is an Asus laptop. Winders 7 Prof. Native screen resolution of 1280 x 800.

Have you tried F5, and a forced refresh, normally sorts most of my problems.

It would seem lots of members have "problems" with the adverts, hence my question about forum funding, I am sure if we could fund the forum without adverts, there would be more happy bunnies.

Most importantly, what browser?
Sorry, Google Chrome..

I get no response to a click, or right-click, within the main browser window.. - I have to either click the circular 'reload' arrow-icon, or highlight the address, and hit enter..

I would have thought the refresh of the adverts would wake it up?

Interestingly, when the page reloads, the main screen is as it was, but if there are notifications (the 'bell' top-right) this shows.

I too have noticed the non delineation between postings. I'm already confused, this just confounds that confusion.....

Mine:
Google Chrome is up to date
Version 87.0.4280.66 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Mine (32bit) .. and updating ....

Updating Google Chrome (62%)
Version 86.0.4240.198 (Official Build) (32-bit)

Uh-Oh!

Nearly up to date! Relaunch Google Chrome to finish updating. Incognito windows won't reopen.
Version 86.0.4240.198 (Official Build) (32-bit)

Relaunch

Back in a minute.. :giggle:

Okay...............................

I am not shouting too loudly, as I have updated Google, and restarted it, but NOT restarted the laptop. - Which might be required??
But am getting (what I think) is large areas where I think the system would like to post an advert??? And these appear to be 'within' a posted item.
Below is an example.. There is a similar 'white-space' below Dan's posting.

I am getting a similar effect from Hutch's postings as well. - ?both in the US? ??coincidence??

278 unread PMs? :). I get problems with large blank areas - don't know why, but to see a posted image I have to click on the blank and select "view image". It's a PITA. Sometimes, the actual text of a posting superimposes itself on the posting below it:banghead:

I still think getting rid of adverts and moving to a "donation" funded forum is the way forward, however not really had much response to my "Forum Funding" thread.
There is an option to pay to remove the adverts. Is there anyone experiencing display problems who has used that option?

I allow the ads and am running an iMac that Apple has just declared vintage with a MacOS that is several behind the latest. I have not had any problems.....yet.

In the thread I questioned the cost effectiveness of this, and if spreading the cost through "donations" would be more beneficial. but I have not had the responses I had hoped for.

Forget the US connection..

Just like I reported in the coffee lounge last night Phil, but after a few seconds the empty space fills with an advert - jobrapido being the most prominent. Not noticed much of an improvement today despite logging off and signing in again. I'm using Chrome.- whatever version is loaded onto this tablet. Will try my lappy in a little while to see if it's any better.

I took out a subscription recently and am overjoyed at the lack of carp in the adverts that mean nothing to me at all. Best thing I ever did.
I use an annoying ipad [up to date re software] and a fairly new Windoze 10 desktop [with Firefox] both work fine without hiccups.
cheers
Monty

For a mere 4.87 pence a day.. It might be worth it? - If only for my mental well-being? :)

Do you get 'free' whale-music?:rofl::rofl:

Chrome "hides! that and complains a lot if it is not secure (i.e. http).

I am now getting the message 'Outlook keeps stopping. Close app?'.
I didn't stick my hand out and I didn't know it was open. Please enlighten me someone.
