Can anyone explain why is it that many modell-land.de offers on ebay say specifically "Nicht verfügbar für Versand nach United Kingdom) - (Not available for shipping to United Kingdom)?

Have to say they aren't the only retailer on German Ebay, who say that.:thumbdown:

Maybe, but they are notoriously bad at answering any emailed questions!

It does seem to be a bit odd; they will happily ship anything on their main site to the UK, as many of us on here will testify - however they appear very reluctant to sell anything from their other subsidiary sites outside Germany.

The simple reason is that they've decided only to offer purchases within Germany. I suspect the longer explanation is that the cost of eBay fees on international postage, plus the risks involved with cross-border transactions for sellers have made them consider it to be not worth their while.

I asked because I have bought from their online site, as others have said, but the restriction seems to be only on eBay.
ah well there are other suppliers.

i've spoken to them about this, it's to do with ebay fees as a shop
they get charged a premuim if they sell outside germany through ebay

bought through shop.. as they refuse to pay evilbay fees.. no problem ,good service..
