Minature Electrical connector , where can i buy them ?

I recently bought some LGB pick up wheels but there was only 2 connectors to connect the wire on to the pin does any one know where i can buy these?

Please dont just say Rapid or Maplins i have spent the past hour looking on there sites with no joy.

Try a model shop that does Radio Control. If you take the connector in, they should be able to help....

True enough Neil, but if you use one side, and push it over the round pin, it'll do the job....

Rather than fitting the pin between the rounded over ends, have you tried fitting the pin inside one of the rounded over ends Ed?
The connector will be offset to the side yes, but it should be tight enough to work....

or you could slaughter an old computer.
there are two sizes of connectors to be found.
those that connect the functional buttons to the motherboard and those, you get out of the power cables. (the latter have hollow male contacts - giving you even a third size)

1 Bit of brass tube of suitable I/D.
2 Cut to required length.
3 Solder wire of preferred colour to one end.
4 Squeeze tube (gently) about 5mm in from the end.
5 Wiggle on to pin and solder other end of wire to the bit that needs it.

Yes tryed that but it would need opening up as it was too tight a fit for the lgb pin

Maybe the next size up would work better then?

This is how the extra pickup axles have been wired on the Frying Hamburger. It's a smaller size than the usual 'Lucar' connector....

Crimp a wire to the metal terminals and push the terminal and wire into the housing. They push on to the pin on the wheels and hold real tight. Only use one of the two available pin holes.

Thats a good idea, I have tried the other methods and given up but will do this on my Piko loco as the connector keeps coming off , why on earth they put such feeble electrical connections together?
