Micron Electronic Speed Controller "dropouts"

I’m new to the forum, but already picked up lots of helpful information, thank you. I have a query about Micron controllers and would value any suggestions. I have three battery powered locos fitted with MR603 receivers, and a Tx22x transmitter. One of the receivers is 100% reliable (always responds to forward and reverse speed control, front and rear lamps coming on), but the others experience “dropouts” with the ESC failing to respond. Other functions (throttle-controlled front/rear lamps and toggle-switched LEDs) carry on working correctly, but the only way I can get the vehicle moving again is to switch it off and on again. The frequency with which this happens is variable – sometimes sometimes after every 2 or 3 changes of direction, other times not at all, even when switching between between channels with the Selecta switch. If anyone can help, or direct me to a relevant thread I would be very grateful.

Hi John. Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I would suggest ringing Micron in the morning, (01653 696008). I have always found him very helpful when things don't work as expected, and may even be able to get you working again over the phone, hope you are back up and running soon. No connection with them, just a happy and repeated customer. David
 
Ring Andy..

Have a note of the letter on the chip. - This will indicate the firmware revision.
The hardware revision is more granular, but will be silk-screened on the board.
Also have note of the battery type, number of cells, and details of the model in question and motor-type, if known.
