One thing struck me as slightly odd: the valve gear on your 2-6-2:

Shouldn't it be more like this?

Is it the same both sides? Maybe it's been apart at some point?

I've only just seen your post and i must go and check on this now! It's definately been apart a few times in it's life so it could do with a look, although it's running has never been affected...

Another lovely day so some more running had to be done

A great collection of pictures, and an impressive railway, everything is so clean and tidy (no criticism I like it) the sun helps a lot...

This weekend involved some track modifications to make some sections run much smoother...
Firstly the S-bend that looked horrible as well as caused a problem for a lot of stock had to go...
Before (excuse the old photo..)

And after, replaced with r2's and r3's..

The board was built, and just ballasting left to do now.

Aswell as this a few other corners have been changed from r1 up to r2..
And lastly a steam pub special was put on whilst work took place

The bridge that ran alongside the pond has now been removed...The pond has always needed some shelter from the sun, so track has been rediverted to make this possible..

Where the track goes onto a single piece of decking, will soon have bridge sides added
