Matching trackwork

I am building three modules to carry a french shunting metre gauge.,one of the problems when constructing the boards one after the other is the matching up of the boards. As you can see the new board on the right is totally different to the other one. I hope that with a bit of scenic decoration will be able to make them similar, if not identical.

I would consider a gradual tone down of the brighter as a first attempt. You can always add more if you go a little at a time. Not sure what product you will use, sawdust and other makes of ground colour come in all sorts of shades, from view less garish green looks so much better.
 
Good suggestion, particularly because the scenic grass from two different manufacturers is of a totally different shade of green. Today I gave the new board a black/drown wash which has toned it down a lot
 
I would mix up the 2 shades of grass, or even add a few more.

Looks more natural....
