Hello, I was having problems with my 8175101 PC Module not reading CV's correctly on a Massoth XLS-M1 decoder. IT HAS BEEN PROBABLY A YEAR SINCE THE LAST TIME I USED IT. If I performed a complete CV read, it would automatically change cv1 to 63 and change cv200 to 64? If I manually tried to change CV 200 to 10, it would actually set it to 15? Really weird behavior? I would also sometimes get the 117 error code when trying to read cv's but eventually it would read and write. I have never done a Firmware update on the module since I bought it new 4 years ago so I figured I should update it and maybe that would fix the problem. The new firmware is version is 3.2. I don't know what it had prior to the update? After the update, I can no longer read or write cv's. I have tried several different decoders from XLS to LS and other XLS-M1's. I keep getting a "no read" error. The 117 error code does not come up anymore? I can update decoder firmware & chage sound files, just cant read/write cv's. I am currently using MST3 but I even tried the MST2 and same issue. I then put the old CD in the drive and tried using the original MST and the same issue. I decided to change the PC module firmware back to what was on the installation CD and it will now read / write cv's again but it records the CV's on the XLS-M1 as all zero's. I confirmed this is an incorrect reading using a PIKO central station to manually read the CV's. I think I need to reload all the Firmware updates that superseded the original one. It appears to be about 4 of them. I want to try that next but I can't find them any ware? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds very strange and I have not have a problem like that before. Are you using the Massoth service tool (software)?

I suggest you get the Service tool and PC module to current versions and see if that helps. Running older and mismatched software and firmware together can do weird things.
