I've just been in correspondence with Peter Spoerer about soundcards and he sent me a link to one of his videos. I thought some on here might find it of interest:

It's worth watching to the end when he attaches a 27 coach train......... ???

Do you know if Peter will be stocking these soundcards?

I know this is herasey but I was quite taken by a Gauge 1 Black 5 running outside at Stafford last week, but I do not think upgrading my curves to LGB R2 will cut it! ;)

Hi Robert
He already does (ie stock these soundcards). They don't appear on his website, but give him a ring and he'll wax lyrical about them. I have one of his narrow gauge diesel soundcards installed in one of my locos - and it is brilliant - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfKq9esr0Jw. They are made by MKTronics - http://www.mtroniks.net/cat/Sound-Systems-For-Scale-Models and when I bought mine from Peter it cost less than MKTronics were charging - though I see they have now reduced their prices.

I'd love to run some Gauge1 stock but not enough pennies and not enough room in the garden - hence narrow gauge. Not sure it is heresy as you suggest - G1 runs on 45mm track and to my mind still qualifies as G gauge (if not G scale .... sorry, no wish to re-open that debate)

Most impressive. Probably a good thing that the neighbour's house isn't right next to his layout :D

Watching this video https://youtu.be/b1x-jEH8h-8 you can see and hear two engines, but it appears that either they did get started at the same time, or the engineer started only one. You can clearly hear them both running later, when they walk through the engine room.

The better original engine sound is in this one: https://youtu.be/cD_bdb8bEUI
