I like the Hartford kits and although they take a long time to build, the fact that you are almost following a scaled down real life building procedure is really rewarding BUT
I would love to get this kit but the start price???? I will just have to stick with me Accucraft one

Does look like a very through and detailed kit though.
Looks like the way of the world. If we want these lovely toys, with limited demand, looks like we are going to have to pay.
I suppose the alternative is we all drive around in Ford Fiestas :confused: (other makes and model are available :rolf: )

i think 200 for a kit would be about right

The trouble with capping the price is that either the kit never happens or the detail that makes it great is not there. Jackson Sharp coaches are available at lower prices - but no way near this level of detail. The old adage, not always true but relevant. You get what you pay for.
Its nice to have a rake of vehicles that doesn't cost much, it can be longer for a start. But to my mind its also nice to have something rather special too, or at least something to aspire to.
 
no i meant i wouldnt pay more than 200 for a second hand one of these

based on what i have seen them go for in the past

but not seen many recently,,,,,,,,

so maby seller thinks there is rarity value

theres no doubt if made by someone who knows what there doing they

become real works of art

and i could do with a few more 1 20 coaches,,,,,
 
Hartland kits are like high end wooden ship kits. Museum quality, insanely detailed, but at museum level prices as well. I really like Mamoli boat kits I'll have to stick to Airfix kits :-)

As Davy says, the coach kit was sold originally at about $200 so the price being asked for a 'used' one is a large bit excessive.
Shame, I would love to have a go at it... but I have some of the Hartford kits, two ore cars and a stock car to attack first.....:nail:
