SELLCO100 has just listed loads of 'Buy it Now' (mainly) LGB items. Some unboxed. Grabbed myself a flying pig for £70.

LGB LEHMANN TRAIN RAILCAR FLYING PIG DEV WITH PASSENGERS, G SCALE[/h1] item number 400326706760

What, an LGB Ivatt mogul?!

The lengrh of their T&Cs and the fact that at least one item is incorrectly described sets off some warning bells.
May be all above board but caveat emptor as always.

Hi. I've just found the catalogue number of what I've bought LGB2066. It's a Wismar rail bus.
Don't know how to post link but if you go to ebay, collectables, trains/railway models, g scale, newly listed you'll find what's left close to the top of the list. Alternatively search for seller under the 'advanced' search funtion. I've also just copped a Schoema diesel in yellow for £50.

The US kit is a bit pricey!

Yeah, that was my reaction too. Nothing of interest.

5 amp transformer at 35 quid looks good.

That is not a 5 Amp transformer but an old 1980s 2 Amp version you can even see 2 Amp written on the top if you zoom in on the photo.

That was the misdescribed item I was referring to above, else I'd have had it myself!
Looking at the completed listings, some people appear to have bagged some rather good bargains.

Some amazing bargains there, thankfully for my wallet none of them were things I was particularly after.....
Given the stupidly cheap prices on some pieces (especially the locos, the bigger ones priced at between 1/3 and 1/2 of the going rate), I REALLY hope these are all genuine sales and not nicked items being "fenced" through a third-party eBay selling company!

Jon.

I'm sure the eBay seller himself is above board, Ross, just wondering about whatever person he is selling them on behalf of (as he's obviously a professional eBay selling agent working for folks who either can't or don't want to ebay their own stuff). Maybe it's a bereavement clearout, or just someone who wants shot of it all and hasn't bothered to research the values.
The fact that much of the LGB rolling stock is priced about right, the LGB locos (mostly) way underpriced, and the Bachmann and other US stuff generally priced too high, smacks of someone who has done a LITTLE research into G scale prices overall but has no real knowledge about what they are selling.

Jon.

Edit: sorry, just looked again and noticed that the US stuff he's selling does appear to be all LGB, not other brands as I'd first thought; in that case, maybe the prices for those are closer to what they should be.
Edit again: no, I was right first time, there ARE some Bachmann pieces in there after all! ;)

Still say that the US rolling stock is way high. Good condition, boxed LGB box and reefer cars tend to go for £30 -£40 and passenger cars for about £40-£50, unless they are 'special' or sought after items....these aren't I'm afraid.
Perhaps the euro kit is more keenly priced...............

He is a Limited company in RYE. Sussex. I have his address.

How near to me is he?

Forget that question - I've traced them. Located in a trading unit down at Rye Harbour. Quite a few companies down there on the trading estates and at the wharf.

Hi all
some nice items but have you read his Ebay feedback........not so good on Neg and neutral feedback from previous buyers.

Well, i got these two for a measly £160?
who can complain, both arrived very fast and both very well packaged.
Just a little bit of dirt on the silver one but that came off with a wipe..
I'm a happy boy..
