We had excess slate on the drive so I got the daft lad to cart it all from the drive to the layout.
Playing around with the track and testing of course.
A few pics give you an idea of where it’s headed. An amorphous loop around the mountain is the intention. Grass, trees and a lot more slate to be added yet. (It ain’t big enough).

The amorphous loop is in (first draft shall we say) mostly supported.
waiting for local diy stores to reopen so that I can buy more slate, more postcrete, more artificial grass and more conifers.
the mountain will be transformed from a pile of slate with bulk out builders buckets to Austrian Alpine hills when I can get my mitts on the above list.
I am really enjoying this build. Loads of ideas and projects lined up for it.

I’m liking this as it develops. Sloping grass hills and trees to come......

Thats a good question Chugmeister.
Maybe I could run the pig nose rail bus on the mountain line or send another loco up from Linz shed to couple up to the right end of the train......
Not enough room for a passing loop.
I’m sure my subconscious will come up with some sort of solution or not

Good progress at LGB 2
The goods yard in the west side of Linz bahnhof, the mountain still under construction- postcrete ballast required and also Gstadt station has added details such as track crossing, solid buffer stops and platform extensions.
Really enjoying this build.

So, now I have two circuits (main line and mountain line) plus end to end running too - Wieselburg to Gstadt direct or via Linz.
I will draw a full track layout in a few days.
