Lil big hualer saddle tank loco bash.

Nice work Jack. I like the spark arrestor on the Little Big Hauler bash. It looks like something a backwoods line would come up with.

My cruise for day was cancelled so having a great morning watching cartoons and playing with trains. Did a small track test. All seems good so far wondering how the front truck will ride on curves. But it's 49 degrees out right now. This is rare in Florida but it's cold enough for me. Learned a big lesson on this one. Don't get spray paint on the drive wheels lol. It's a huge pain to clean off.

Yes. Way more than I planned at first but I like the way it's going so far. I see you are into air-cooled vw's here is a picture of my 1964 daily driver. View attachment 232320

Jeez Jack that's a stunning bug. My favourite colour too.

Subtle old school cal look, as it should be. Nothing too flash but just enough to make it stand out from the crowd. Nice to see that it's a daily drive too and not a trailer queen.

Oh how I miss those old VWs. I had a used '61 when I was in my teens. Same blue color as yours. Many years later, I obtained a '72 semi-automatic. Strange beast. I never knew whether I was supposed to shift between 1st and 2nd or not..........One day, I was leaving work, in a snowstorm and approaching my car, noticed a roundish thing hanging from the motor compartment.

Not knowing where it normally lived and too cold to figure it out, I pulled it off the hose it was hanging by. I made it all the way home, while other cars were getting stuck. Next day I called my mechanic and asked him about the mysterious ball. He said not to worry, the car will run fine without it.....

When I got my wife into the VW thing she brought a 73 Jeans Beetle. Not in bad shape but in need of a little work.

Accelerator cable snapped on the way home one evening.

No problem. I crawled into the passenger foot-well, removed the cable cover and managed to grab the end of the severed cable. I pulled it by hand for the required acceleration, whilst my wife shouted "change" each time I needed to release the throttle for gear changes. Got home without fuss, although not being able to see what was going on from my position was a bit nail biting.
