I got the fever to do this after seeing what Mick had done with his Lil hualer bashes. They look awesome. To me they are pretty cool engines with some modifications they really come to life. I like the idea of making the side rods look more realistic that will probably be the biggest change. I had a cheap battery train that had ok detail peices so that will be the donar loco. Well that seems to be coming along nicely. Thanks also for your comments - I need to get on with mine! It's all about lateral thinking - which you have demonstrated by using donor parts! I look forward to more on your bash.

Thanks. What a neat little loco. I have been working on a spark arrester stack . Not sure if I like it or not. It may be ok after it's all weathered and blended together. I also have been thinking about making the cab a little longer. That may be a bit much for my skills at the moment though.IMG_20180111_092053594.jpg IMG_20180111_091939096.jpg IMG_20180111_091946966.jpg

Making progress on the loco bash. I had a battery big hualer for parts and I have kind of decided to take a much easier route than cutting up the old cab to make it bigger. The 4-6-0's cab fits pretty good just need to build the cab floor up . Maybe cut off the roof overhang a bit. Overall I think I like it. Tell me what you all think of it so far. Thanks for following along..IMG_20180115_212003700.jpg IMG_20180115_204356346.jpg IMG_20180115_211102351.jpg IMG_20180115_211012526.jpg

I think that the Big Hauler Chimney if you staill had it may have worked a little better for you. But what you have done does give the little locy something of a 'Beast' look about it.

Well I've been inspired by the loco in the video so I decided to go without a coal tender and make it look more like the one in the video. I took the BH tender apart and cut the back off to use for my small coal area . It turns out that they are basically the same height. So with alot of cutting I used half the tender chassis and the back part of the tender. I think I like it. I don't know if this type of loco's have a name .IMG_20180116_140223819.jpg IMG_20180116_142408608.jpg IMG_20180116_155004085.jpg IMG_20180116_153733163.jpg IMG_20180116_153733163.jpg IMG_20180116_153213728.jpg IMG_20180116_153204353.jpg

Thanks for the info. I like the looks of the forney's learning alot from all of you guys thanks again.

I was going to change the stack back to the big hualer one till I saw this video on YouTube . The loco in the video has basically the same stack I built. Unbelievable that I found a loco that has one lol. So I decided to keep it.

I enjoyed that video on several points. (1). There's a prototype for everything! (2). The colour of the cab interior (that answered things for me!). (3). The little gas mechanical and the loco it was propelling! (4). The makeshift facilities (the bits of ply sheet to kneel on when lubing the loco/s - and that wheel chock!!!!!). (5). A really nice production.

Thanks for posting.
