Right a friend is fitting Massoth decoders to two lgb trams and on analogue the lights work but not when the decoder is plugged into the lgb direct decoder socket. They've tried switching the lights on and off but still no joy. Take the chip out and they are fine again so they aren't blown. Any ideas?

DIP switches?

Could it be that the lights are full voltage ones on this model but the decoder is set to 5V output?

Sorry, don't know this model - just guessing.

On the LGB trams, remember on analogue, the option of switching track, or overhead power collection; this has to be taken into account when converting to DCC .Alyn

cv50 to 26,
cv51 to 128
cv52 to 64
and cv29 to 6

The lgb decoder diagram I sent and the other ideas helped narrow things down!
