LGB Sound Tender

Hello
I have just fitted a 55021 decoder in my LGB sound tender which is connected to my Fat Boy 2-4-0 loco equipped with a simliar decoder. I had programmed the tender decoder to have same address as the loco decoder and switched the DIP switches to off but no sound at all!!
Any ideas?

I did it on its own with a motor lashed up. I will try again with them both connected.
