<p>Recently I bought one of these on ebay knowing that it needed the bogies replacing.</p><p>The ones fitted were obviously just a convenient ploy to make it look right as they are freight ones which don't even allow the couplings to project beyond the buffers!</p><p>I have been unable to identify the 3063 coach in my limited LGB catalogues but I wonder if anyone can confirm please that it was renumbered 30630. If that is the case then Herr Warenreich has the correct ones on offer at his online shop.</p><p>Does anyone know if he combines postage on items as the cost of postage for the bogies on their own is pretty offputting? :o </p>
 
The postage from Warenreich is the full whack for the first item, then 2EUR extra for each additional item. You can accumulate for quite a long time - I usually pay once a month :D

The 3063 coach was introduced by LGB back in the early 80s using the 3062 Austrian bogie coach body, to provide a fictitious RhB coach,, there was also a 2nd catno 3064 (all red ) I dont think they ever received a 5 digit code as the RhB coaches arrived later but the first few types also had the 4 digit codes.

The bogies are the same as the 3062 Austrial coaches, Although I have see examples of many of these caoches fitted with the same bogies as fitted to the 3070series DR/HSB bogies, why this should be I am not sure but they appesar to work satifactorily

I am not sure if the bogies from the Rugen coaches would work OK but that could be an option in they could be obtained inexpensively from anothers manufacturers similar coaches!!

Aren;t those numbers the other way around? All red was 3063, 3064 is red and cream??? Or is my memory finally defunct? :nail: I have the all red composite one in the garage.

My version of the coach appears to use the 30610 series trucks (packet of two is part no. 67300) The 30610 bogies have the loop for the couplings about 1/2" further out from the pivot point than the freight trucks.
 
Other LGB bogies available are: the freight truck (packet of two part no. 67402) and the DB trucks (packet of two part no. 67370)
 
I got both variants and they are shorter than the proper coaches by a good few inches
 
Have just checked the bogies on my coach - they are the 30610 trucks fitted - correct length to the coupling loop. THe loop is level with the face of the buffer.

</p><p>The ones fitted certainly were not!</p><p>I was aware when I bought it that they were not originals but I had hoped to be able to couple up with the next vehicle......</p>
 
Use those freight trucks for a scratch built wagon (or a kit built one):
 
All the sideframes interchange with the bolster/coupler.

I have put 307X sideframes on the 306X type cars using this method.
