Yes chaps, here we go again. I have the following LGB equipment as shown in the picture below. I am that impressed with my dads Massoth equipment and how the points work, I would like similar. But can my equipment in the picture control points wirelessly through the LGB system, given that the LGB system is AC (as I learnt the hard way). If it can, how is this done......? (programing and operation etc)

Duncan, The loco remote you have is not able to control accessories such as points, you will need a universal remote (the one with the arrow buttons) 55015.

You will also need Switch decoders (just as per your dad on his setup) - they do not need to be LGB, Massoth ones would be fine (obviously!).
 
Yes, you need a 55025 switch decoder which \I think will do 4 switches. (you can double up switches on to one output - maybe for a loop etc.)
Also, I think you need the better controller - 55015.
 
And is the AC an issue? Would the wireless insert on my current controller go into the universal remote to carry on my wireless operation?
 
The output from your base station 55005 is ALWAYS DCC (this is sort of AC but its a bit complicated) no matter what transformer you use. So no problem. The Universal remote just plugs in - both will work together and if you dont have two sockets a splitter can be got.
 
The wireless insert (55055?) works in both types of LGB handsets.
 
A navigator will not work with your MTS2. You need the '3'. - 55006

Regarding my above set up, I am going to install it in the house so that I can switch the railway on at the flick of a switch, but this means putting a traditional plug back on the power supply LGB 50110. Just want to check what the correct fuse should be in the plug? Thanks
 
3 Amp mains fuse in the plug is all you need - no higher.

I believe the 50110 is rated at something like 6 Amps at 20 Volts - so that's about 120 Watts. Even allowing for a little loss, 120 Watts at mains voltage is only about 0.5 Amps.

I have the same MTS2 set up as you with an additional 55015 Universal Remote.

I use the 55025 Decoders for points with each output switching 2 motors and I have the 55055 Transmitter Inserts too.

Works for me....
