LGB Limited edition - IIm scale Steam Rotary snow plough/plow

If I could get one - which I can not, I would price it at £3769.

Shipment dates (as indicated by the UK distributor) are around the end of November 2018.

The price being a variable feast, depending how much we have p'eed-off the rest of Europe, and the financial wiz-kids have devalued the pound by then!

Much closer to home.. AND more urgently important!!
Can you get any short-shaft motors, sharpish-like?

I can allegedly get them from EU-rope.. Until I actually try to place the order..
Then it goes into ve-vill-string-every-technical-term-we-can-together-mit-out-a-translation-und-charge-you-extra-fer-wanting-to-leave-the-Fatherla,-sorry,-EU mode..

At which point Goggle translate gives up, and I go into speaking in capitals, s-l-o-w-l-y to the computer!! :banghead::banghead:

If you have a problem with the German shoot it to me and I'll sort it for you.

Reminds me of the old joke (or apocryphal anecdote, depending on who is telling it) of the German lorry driver hauled up before a UK Magistrate's court for a minor driving offence - when the proceedings start, the driver claims not to speak any English - the magistrate, unwilling to waste time by putting the case off until an official interpreter can be found, asks if there is anyone in the court who can speak German, and would be willing to be sworn in to translate for the defendant. A man in the public gallery stands up and offers to do it, so the Magistrate gets the get chap down and has him sworn in, then asks him to ask the defendant to state his full name....
The "interpreter" stands up, clicks his heels together and bellows "VOT ISS YOUR NAME?".....
......... the story usually ends with him being done for contempt of court.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Jon.

Personally, I get a little embarrassed, at my 'insular' lack of language skills..

I know the map was 'pink', but it appears the rest of the world has made much more of an effort than we 'British'.. :(

No one is being forced to buy 1..my advice for what it's worth ; is
May contain nuts

Let's face it...
In these litigious times, who in their right mind would build a functioning rotary snow-plough model, in a scale where Little (or big) Johnnie could stuff his hand in the 'business' end?!

If it can cope with real-snow, it needs some real-oomph! - As in more than enough to mince fingers! :(:eek:

To my mind it's like buying a model of a Spitfire made with the same ethos - 'This perfect scale model of the famous WW2 warplane is exact in every detail, bar one.

Although it has a rapidly rotating propeller, it does not fly.'

I couldn’t bring myself to spend that sort of money on one even if I had it but by the sounds of things it has been a success for LGB.

In view of all the discussion regarding the abilities of whether the LGB beast can or cannot blow Snow, perhaps we should be thinking of one of these:-

Recently advertised in our pop ups, now I can see no Health n Safety issues with this little toy!

Well, not quite exact in every detail bar one; you can be fairly certain that the thickness of the materials used are over scale.
