Hi All

I’ve recently acquired a Lgb Forney with stripped gears for a good price,
I’m considering converting it to a single farlie loco but that’s another story,

I’m trying to source replacement gears in the uk, and I’ve come across the MTS-line one available on Amazon,

As anyone used these before?

Also what gears is it?

They appear for be the type C ones as I've shown

If you want them from a UK source:
Try Andy at Amazing Little Trains.

Maybe stand a better chance with Paul Lamming at P and S Hobbies in York

I've used MTS-Line recently. They were good but I had the order placed by a German friend which made it much easier

Thanks for the advice, I’ve ordered some from Amazon.de and there were very resonably priced included shipping

Next question
Any advice or hints/tips to dismantle one of these?

I was going to convert to battery power once I’ve fixed the gears

Dan

The LGB forney access to the idler gears is not much fun. I remove the motor block from the bottom of this loco and unplug the wires which are very short. Problem is reinstalling these wires (very short) and I use a 'hemostats' to do this and I have straight ones and curved ones.
