LGB Faur L45H... fitting the (lady) driver?

I can report complete success - the lovely Nicole has now been thoroughly screwed in the cab!
I had to solicit assistance from the Memsahib, who has smaller fingers than me (does that count as a threesome, I wonder...? ) but with a lot of fiddling, some soft-nosed pliers and a small torch, the deed was successfully completed!

If anyone else has to attempt this Herculean task (while the Modelling Gods laugh upon us) - the way to do it is this: Nicole is cast with a round lug just behind her heels, and this lug fits into a raised round boss on the cab floor - which is meant to take the driver's stool (behave!!) if you're NOT fitting the figure. Once her "heel lug" is lined up and dropped into the raised boss, we stuffed a lump of blu-tack in to stop her wriggling about, then lined up her forearm with the cab window sill - that puts her screw hole (I warned you earlier...) correctly aligned to thrust the screw upwards through the little hole in the cab floor (I managed this with the loco suspended in midair on two large boxes, giving me room to work underneath it with the torch!) and finally fix her firmly into place, where she is NEVER LEAVING!

Having double-checked the cab switch as per Mike's advice, job is now done.... I think I need a lie down....

Away from the tribulations of getting the lovely Nicole into her cab, the Faur really is a very nice loco indeed... anyone have any experience of the real ones (I know there are several in operation on various lines throughout Germany and Eastern Europe)?

I'm just wondering about a small oddity in the programming - as it is currently set up, when the Navigator knob is turned CLOCKWISE, which I normally consider "forwards", the loco runs with its short hood forward - which I had always assumed was backwards, as most photos show it with the long hood leading? Running long-hood-forward is ANTICLOCKWISE on the Navvy knob. Now I know that I can quite easily change this IF I want to get into the CVs, but I just wondered if this was a thing that others used, as I recall that my Trainline45 Fiffi and Pfiffi also both had the same "reversed" operating directions as delivered....?

On my navigator, if you turn it clockwise, forward, the loco goes long hood forward. This ties up with the lack of a coupling hook on the long end & the way Nicole is looking. The front lights come on. This is what I would expect.
Does your loco direction match the lights?
Might be worth checking that the CVs tally with the instruction book.

Running direction and lights all match up, Mike - it's just that clockwise on the Navvy is "backwards"... I may have a look at it sometime, though I can happily live with it - I do the same with Pfiffi anyway, she's got a Zimo chip that frankly terrifies me...

Do you have to take her out and put her in the other side of the cab if you want to run the loco in reverse?

While the actual screwing was being done, it was about the 18" high (off the table top) club!

(Loco was up on two large boxes so that I could get underneath to put the screw in, because if I'd turned it over to get to the hole then Nicole would have fallen out!)
